Hideous, free orange loveseat for my hideous, and definitely-not-free orange home office

Remind what segment you work in and how likely this is to survive as a set piece in it.
I know it has something to do with both lighting and “plumbing”.

Depending on the client, I prefer incredibly dim lighting. I even offer discounts if I can keep the light off.

When I was a kid, my parents had the sofa piece to that set, but in blue. I think it was a wedding present or some wacky thing they bought as newlyweds - it was must have been well over 6 feet long, and the softest plush tufted velour. I suspect was expensive when new - when we made a long-ish distance move, my dad said he didn’t want to deal with it, and we gave it away.

No offense, but I think as finds go, the mission- style chair was a much better prize.

I’m not sure what scares me more. The stains it already has, or the stains it will get.

Plush! I can smell the dust from here.

Was the previous owner moving in with their kids or into a nursing home? I’m always a bit nervous about bedbugs with free fabric furniture.

Is you home office really orange?
Few weeks back I scored a fancy stainless steel water cooler and new plastic 5 gallon jug from outside a church. Spent at least as long cleaning it as you should that couch and have run somewhere around 25 gallons through it so far. Now I just need to find some glass 5 gallon bottles for truly enjoyable drinking.

A known source would make me feel much better. It will certainly provide some ambiance. Hopefully it give Luna many years of happy snoozes.

Also I'm not completely stupid (just mostly) -- steam cleaning it right now before it enters the home

Looks like a good napping couch.

One day, while unloading a bunch of old window out of the back of my truck at the “Take it or Leave it” section of my local transfer station, a truck backs in next to mine with a very orange couch in the back.
Nearly done unloading, I shout over to the guy, “What’s wrong with it?” He tells me it has no issues and is from his mom’s basement, and it’s been down there for a doz en years or more. “Put it in my truck”, I said.
The first couch for my first home, joining the brown chair and love seat bought at a yard sale for $40. I replaced it all 6 or 7 months later when my tax return was done, but I will always remem ber that big orange couch.

Carboys from a homebrew shop? 5 gallons is the most common size.

Yes, they used to be overly common. Wasn’t sure they were still in production.

Oh, very much so. Maybe $30 new; cheaper on Craigslist.
